I've noticed this with poor white working class here on Long Island. Yet, that phenomena gets more play because the media loves to show someone like Harry Belafonte calling someone a house negro, etc. I've not really noticed this phenomena with the rich.
...but you haven't heard the rich complain about the use of the phrase "Uncle Tom" either. It's ok for black comedians or movie stars to use the dreaded N word like you use the word "the". It all comes down to selective intolerance. Which in my case, becomes the tip off to expose the ranters agenda.
