For every black looter or thug there were people like Jabbar Gibson, the 20 year old bus "thief" who rescued 70 people himself, and countless others who helped the sick or elderly, often at great risk to themselves.

A medal for Jabbar would be nice but perhaps a Presidential pardon would be more practical, especially if there is still a question on whether or not to prosecute. It's sad that you have to really dig hard to find stories about the good deeds occurring. It isn't for a lack of deeds, it's just that they don't fit the news template and that's a crying shame.

So far, Jabbar Gibson is about the only named hero in this entire disaster.

Thousands of other heroic measures have taken place but Jabbar may become the "face" of this disaster.

And when this is all over, they'll be nailing him for grand theft auto, while they'll probably never go after the looters, even that lady copy looter I saw on TV (yes, the cops are looting).
