Answer the question: Have those two looters in PD Uniforms been positively ID'd as being NOPD? Do you know?

Why wasn't the reporter helping gather emergency goods for use by the refugees?

I don't think the reporter was deserving of any answer at all given the circumstances.

Besides, you still have to explain why you'd have these people walk by cases of expensive digital cameras only to take cheap tennis shoes.

Ok, you just addressed that in your post before mine. Your conclusion is she was being sarcastic. It appeared in the video, that the looters she claimed they were looking for, were walking off with stuff, like TV's and Bikes, while they collected shoes.

Ok. Pause the video and look in the cart. There is a lot more stuff in there tan shoes. I saw a couple of pares of sandals and a pair of tennis shoes. If they were gathering shoes for the shoeless then why didn't they say so instead of lying about looking for looters. They were real cops,
the uniforms fit father out of shape bodies. Radios, guns
handcuff holders etc. And they were using there badge for protection against the other looters. These real cops were real looters.

Actually i'm not sure if that reporter was brave or stupid.
He's considered brave now since nothing happened to him, but if he was shot by someone that looted a wal-mart shotgun he would be considered stupid. :)

If I live in your town for a similar catastrophe I think I'll loot your house. I'm sure you have something I'll "need", be it cash, jewlery, shoes, etc.

The looters will be invited to participate in the Katrina Commission held by congress. Or be on Conyer's staff.

Will any officer step forward to report how officers "razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan"?

Why isn't this as big a scandal as the guards who put panties on the heads of terrorists?

Probably not safe to dress up in a police officer's uniform if you aren't when the civilians are looting and rioting.

The bad guys have taken to carrying guns and calling themselves FEMA procurement officials, by the way. FEMA is having to put out notice that they don't arm their workers.

"So the cop, who undoubtedly had lost his home and all his possessions in the flood gave a snotty reporter a sarcastic answer ~ the reporter is fortunate he was not arrested and hogtied for interfering with whatever it was the cops were doing."

Nobody would blame a cop for collecting shoes for victims, but you obviously didn't watch the video b/c the cops were not men. It was crystal clear they were up to no good.

DID YOU EVEN WATCH THE VIDEO??? Or are you just wasting our time editorializing about things you know nothing about???

"Now, think about it ~ if you can ~ what quality are the shoes you pick up at the Wal-Mart?"

Walmart shoes last me about 1 year, except for their $20 fake Birkenstocks, those have lasted me for years of summer wear.

Their clothing lasts about 1 season of heavy use before it's frayed, but for $10-12/shirt it's affordable.

I've found I get better quality at Target though.

He wasn't "interfering" with "whatever the cops were doing". He was holding them accountable for "whatever" they were or weren't doing.

If the shoes are for immediate use in an emergency, 1 year use is more than enough.

What I don't understand is the reports of people looting the Dollar Stores.

Won't find quality food items there.

BTW, if I'm without shoes, I hope you stop by the bedroom closet and pick up a couple of pair.

You can have the money ~ insurance covers that sort of thing, but did you ever try to go to the shoestore and buy shoes when your car's under 6 feet of water?

I've watched the video several times. Nothing in it is crystal-clear except the fact that the reporter is running around taking pictures of people instead of working to relieve their suffering.

I'd busted the reporter Fur Shur.
