Kofi's right, as much as some people hate to admit it. Attacks in Iraq have occured more frequently and with much more violence and people wounded/killed than in Afghanistan. More foreign fighters are going to fight in Iraq than in Afghanistan. For the insurgent leaders, its easier to convince their fighters to fight against what they perceive as a foreign threat close to their "holy land" than in Afghanistan where there is less to lose.

This is exactly what we want to happen. Make Iraq the center front of the war on terror so all the islamic terrorists from all over the islamic world will come to fight us there. It is in Iraq where the terrorists decided to make a stand against us and it is in Iraq where we are annihilating them. The strategy for the war on terror is working very well.

The fighting occurred a day after U.N. chief Kofi Annan said Iraq had become an even greater terrorist center than the former Taliban-ruled Afghanistan.

. . .

Kofi's right, as much as some people hate to admit it.

Actually, Kofi is confused, as usual. With Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, the government gave aid and protection to terrorists. When Saddam Hussein was in power, he gave aid and protection to terrorists. The situation in Iraq now is completely different. Syria and Iran are currently giving aid and protection to terrorists, however the Iraqi government is not. Clearly Kofi longs for the days when Saddam Hussein was in control, and willfully turns a blind eye to the interference from Syria and Iran, but no intelligent person should...
