Well, if there were 100,000 people that stayed, 4 people die every day normally. (This assumes that people live on average for 27,375 days).

Probably considerably more than 4 per day out of the population that stayed. (Higher % of aged, ill, handicapped, hospitalized in that population.) Population of 1.3 million--13 X 4 = 52 x 80% = 41.6 per day x 'Y'. Y = number of days. 5 days, around 200 people would have died 'normally' in the population that stayed in NO. Disclaimer: This is a guesstimate!

Thats a good point. I worked in large intercity hospitals. and remember our daily census typically included a few dead everyday. I can't help but wonder how many would have died naturally in a crowd the size of that in the super dome over a four day period. When you take in to account the high amount of aged, disabled and poor in that particular group, I would guess that about 4-5 deaths would be about right.
