Short and to the point. Very good. I don't know if there were 2000 buses, at least a couple hundred. If anybody knows for sure, chime in. More than enough, anyway, to evacuate everyone who needed it before the storm. The dims and the msm are shameless, as if we didn't know.

I loved the part where Wes reminded Miss Cutey Pie that hitting, or even threatening to hit the President was a felony. On the other hand, she could smack Blanko and it would only be a misdemeanor. ROTFL!!!

I've counted 450 in three photos of different yards, including municipal buses. 2000 doesn't seem far off.

Fox News (Brit Hume) reported earlier today that there were about 350 yellow school buses, and about 200 more muncipal regular "city" transportation buses. This makes for a total of 550 buses. If you do the math, that means they could have evacuated 15,000-20,000 people in ONE TRIP ! If they had worked, say, 12-18 hours, they could have evacuated a good chunk of the city AT LEAST outside of the flood zone. Baton Rouge is only 79 miles from new Orleans. This would have taken the buses about an hours drive. That's 2 hours round trip. So in 18 hours, each bus could have made at LEAST 7-8 trips (subtracting 2-3 hours for refueling and breaks). So, let's be conservative and say 15,000 people per trip x 7 equals 105,000.

Baton Rouge had ALREADY (as of Thursday night) agreed to take as many refugees as they could. It is estimated that about 70,000 people total either chose to stay, or were unable to leave.

If Mayor Nagin had DONE HIS JOB, at LEAST 55,000-60,000 of these people (the ones that ended up at the Superdome and the convention center) could have been evacuated to Baton Rouge. The governor could have assisted by "deputizing" the National Guard and giving them arrest/law enforcement powers, something she NEVER DID, and to this day, refuses to do. This would have allowed the National Guard to go to people's homes and FORCIBLY EVACUATE them (at gunpoint, if necessary) from New Orleans.

The only ones left would have been the thugs and criminals and the stubborn people who didn't want to leave because they thought the hurricane was no "big deal" and even if there was flooding, the wasters would recede quickly.

This cursory analysis shows that this tragedy DIDN'T HAVE TO HAPPEN, if the Mayor and Governor HAD DONE THEIR JOB!

This is the first time I have heard that there were 2000 buses!!! Wow! When that comes out to the refugees, you'd think there would be a riot!!!! How in God's name could anyone say THAT was Bush's fault. Geez Marge.
