[ The Democrat Governor and the Democrat Mayor did NOTHING to carry out that portion of the plan. They left 200,000 low-income resident abandoned and they now blame the Federal Government for not having Scotty beam down a massive logistics effort after a human disaster of their own making. ]

Oh! to hear someone say that on Chris Matthews or some other show that IS watched.. like Lehrer.. or Tony Brown or McLaughlin..

Oh yeah, he's a character alright. Most civilians have never been exposed to an Honore type before. I bet they were shocked that such a human even existed.

OK, I will then :)

Here's another story:

In the summer of 1996 when he was the Brigade Commander of 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, we had a field exercise called "Marne Focus."

Well, Georgia gets VERY hot and humid in the summer, and COL Honore wanted to make sure everybody got ice, it was one of his command priorities for the exercise.

So, he picked a 2LT (one of my buddies) to personally drive a truck and deliver ice to every location the brigade had soldiers in the field. That's all he did for a month. Honore called him the "ICEMAN" hahahaah

From then on, for a long time, everybody called the poor guy "ICEMAN."

Are those the same ESPN guys who told everyone how bad Chokelahoma was going to beat SC in the Orange Bowl last year?

WOW! Excelent points. Even I had forgotten about ABLE DANGER. I'm going to put a piece up on my little web site talking about the media planning how they were going to respond. I believe I see quite a bit of planning even before they set foot in New Orleans. You may want to ready what I wrote about four days ago. http://users3.ev1.net/~inf/katrinablame.htm

You're right. USC is invincible. They've not human, they're cyborgs. Nothing can stand in their way. Keep reading those press clippings. It'll make it all the sweeter when somebody--maybe us, maybe somebody else--takes yall to the woodshed ;-)

"My thoughts all along. If the press can get into New Orleans, with trucks, cars, taxis, whatever, WITH their camera crews, why in the h*ll aren't they taking in food and water instead of telling everyone how bad it is?"

Because Oprah DOES NOT, I repeat DOES NOT carry her own (Hermes) bags!

The rest is history

Watch him spank the media fools:

I think it's time for General Honore to throw chubby Oprah over his lap and give her a long over do spanking with a wooden spoon!

That's exactly what this country needs right now. A straight talkin' sonofabitch (and I mean that in a good way).

I will add when the President was in his "bring it on mode", he was in his best mode (IMHO).

This country is hungry for a straight shooter. I speak for many when I say we want someone who is blunt and honest. Add colorful, and we have won the trifecta.
