He's right. The LA State Gov't did fail the people of NO.
I saw that interview and as I recall he was placing most blame on local and state governments..the CNN headline makes it look like he was blasting Bush, but I don't think that was the case..
No government at ALL levels failed the people. In other words, government (that includes FEDERAL) is a failure. A few of us still think that Reagan was right when he said "Government is the problem not the solution." Of course, we have become a small minority among conservatives, who now worship at the alter of big government Republicanism.
The democrats needed a statedgy to get the souths vote. They can't lie and say they are for family values.
They don't call him "Slick Willy" for nothing, he didn't specify the level of government that failed.
He may be right though he understands because he failed us when he was in office.
He's right and this was particularly true during the years that HE was president.
I still cannot believe he was ever elected and then re-elected!
