My point is the not government agency succeeded in the aftermath of Katrina and that is not only my opinion it is the opinion of the President. And yes, between FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security I would expect water to arrive within 24 hours. We were able to get relief to S. Asia faster than we could get it to south Mississippi and Louisiana.

What do you know about emergency relief and disaster preparedness? I think your expectaions are out of line.

Not what to you speculate or feel, what do you KNOW?

Do you think that FEMA has choppers and loads of trucks stockpiled with food and all kinds of utility workers and firefighters and po-lice?

If America really wants the feds to usurp the power of the local and state governments then they better be prepared to pay an extremely steep price.

Funny thing is that I'm not hearing gipes abou FEMA from Mississipi.

Bottom line is that FEMA is NOT a first response agency
and ANY response before 72 hours is ahead of schedule.
