"And I wonder if he regrets letting hundreds of school buses sit in parking lots instead of evacuating the poor."
He couldn't evacuate anyone using those buses -- Bush slashed the tires on all of those buses prior to the hurricane. (sarcasm)

I hope you are not under the illusion that the finger-pointing is for any other purpose than to deflect blame from the Governor of the State of Louisiana and the Mayor of New Orleans, who both failed completely to execute the evacuation as per the law, or to display any sort of leadership during the crisis.

Please suspend your fingerpointing and blame for one or two weeks so the country can work together and solve one of the biggest natural disasters we've ever had. Dumb idea.
The problem is getting solved as fast as it is going to get solved, and Bush is not wasting one minute on blame. Telling people to shut up for two weeks solves nothing, it just lets the really culpable people (Blanko, Nagin) coodinate their stories.
If you feel so stronly that shutting up for two weeks will make a difference, I suggest you don't need a presidential proclaimation to act in accordance with your beliefs.

I see a ZOT in ReverendJesseJackster's futre as well. Some times a good freeper Bi*chSlap is more effective than a ZOT.

nagin couldn't find over 500 buses for his constituents, but yet he can count to 10,000. The more I see this clown the more I believe he NEEDS the mothership.

Exactly. "We" would imply that he is or was doing something constructive. As far as I can tell, he's been busy with interviews wherein he makes hollow commments about how everyone else has failed to meet his standards in this tragedy. I have one thing to say to him: 200+ drowned buses

I believe the nooz mentioned that some people who were in closets for shelter from hurricane winds, got drowned there by the flooding. Only problem understanding that, is that the hurricane was long gone before the waters got past the levees. What gives?

It's really too bad the people of New Orleans are stuck with a mayor who is only capable of giving interviews criticizing others who are doing the job he can't. The adults must have told him to get out of the way so they could clean up his mess and stop the damage he created.

Thank you for sharing. I dare say your cop friend is closer than 10,000 estimated.

Yes, it is obvious to most of us that this is an opportunistic DNC & MSM-fostered attack on the Bush Administration. Most of the finger-pointing comes from them.
My suggestion that Bush address the nation with a "Can't we all get along for now?" speech would show that he's wants everybody to take the high road while we solve this problem and not lower ourselves into this morass of bickering.
There will be plenty of time later to have a "Katrina Commission" chaired by wise, biased Democraps.
For now, we need to unite to deal with this "manmade disaster."
