Maybe the Asst Police Chief was reporting what their status was yesterday during his news conference - not during the storm.
Regardless - the department will be a mess for years to come as it was a mess for years prior.
I didn't say cops starting pay was 300$ a week - I was saying out of a department of 1500 (may be 1600) about 1200 were uniformed and on the street and 300 were brass.
I wasn't there and I won't pass judgement right now on the individuals, although the department has been a mess for years. I know there were some bad apples looting with the rest of the thugs and there were those that lost everything and stayed on duty.
