"Hayes's article has been addressed by Black here. IBM used Nazi occupation of Europe to further their reach: "In that same vein, Watson opened subsidiaries throughout Europe in cadence with the Nazi takeover, such as in occupied Poland in 1939."

It's totally overblown, but whatever. That was the 40s, and the Nazis didnt do anything they couldnt already do.

On the other hand, Microsoft is parterning with the chicoms NOW and Gates is praising them NOW.

And I created a whole new thread where I called it "disgusting" and him an "idiot" when he did it. However if you followed any of the links I've provided above, you'd see it's clear that others like IBM have been colluding much closer and for much longer with the Chicoms. Show me anyone from IBM saying anything negative about communism. Ever. Meanwhile, here's Microsoft's president:

Ballmer, Bush meet to discuss new communist threat

Black made a few good points that shouldn't be ignored. IBM was driven by profits. It saw an opportunity to expand rapidly in the wake of the Nazis. Its equipment was used to tabulate and cross-reference Jews. IBM (and Business Week) would probably like to forget about this sad episode in corporate history; nonetheless, I think it's important to examine past conduct when we look at today's companies, in order to fully understand how bad collaborations can hurt human beings.

On the other hand, Microsoft is parterning with the chicoms NOW and Gates is praising them NOW.

I've been consistent in condemning any kind of partnership with the ChiComs. The ChiComs are evil bastards. They don't care about human life -- just clinging to power and financing mob rule.

So by that logic, we should forgive Hitler?  I mean, come on, that was 60+ years ago.  Forgive and forget ... time heals all wounds, right?
