Considering what the cops and fire department guys went through in NY after 9-11...these guys in NO might ought to just shut up. You have to wonder just what kind of city NO really is, and what things need to be fixed after the water is pumped out. I'd start with the police department...and I might just put the mayor in line too.

I thought many of them deserted last week, so where do they get 1200 officers, and 300 firefighters/others?

I heard Nagin on ABC radio at newsbreak earlier and he was asked if he would have done anything different and his response was something to the effect that he would have told the higherups to get off the rears much sooner.
