If they had turned on TV they would have seen that day 2 .
I knew about the deaths and the lack of water and the crime going on in the Dome and the convention center because it was on TV for anyone that had any interest to see.
They are without excuse

The State of Louisiana emergency center in Baton Rouge.
A tour by Fox News Channel showed several large screen monitors.
Each monitor was tuned to various cable channels including Fox, CNN, PMSNBC, Weather Channel and more.
So I would think that state officials on some level knew of the situation in at least the Dome.
I understand from what I heard was that the state had to request assistance and only asked for money to begin with.
I also understand that the governor is doing a lot of CYA with various PR groups.
I also understand that the governor was doing some payback to Nagin for supporting the Republican candidate in the last election.
What ever happened something didn't get done and it makes me think that it wasn't all on the federal level.
