There were televised shots inside very early on, but I think the media got spooked by the undesireables flooding the site.

More than likely, they were threatened by one (or two) of the gangs in there that if they didn't pay up, they were going to be harmed. SO, they got the heck out of dodge.

But they can't admit that they ran in the face of danger, now can they?
