I swear, I actually know someone here who looks and talks exactly like Jed Clampett, with overtones of that guy from the Polaner All-Fruit Preserves commercial. We went to the Grand Casino at Kinder one night and sat down for dinner in one of the restaurants that had a salad bar. I forget exactly what he brought back to the table, but when he said to me "Would you please pass the jelly?" I almost spit my coffee out. He had never seen the Polaner ad, so he had no idea what made me react like that. Let's just hope he never asks me if I want to go for a dip in the "cement pond."
