You summed it up well. I lived on the West Bank and my apartment got 14 inches of water from a severe 10" rain storm in the 70's. Electricity was still on and the water was just a few inches below the AC outlets. After having put all my stuff up on blocks as the water came in, I sat down on a lawn chair in my living room and watched TV. It was a way of life in N.O. to expect flooding.

Did you or anyone see the video on I think Fox yesterday of the kids and dad playing in their inflatable 3' pool in their front (or back) yard with clean water in it sitting in 2' of dirty water? They seem to have been prepared, waving, smiling, thumbs up to the helicopter..what's that old boy scout motto, "Be Prepared"!!!!
