From what I have seen of the shelters, especially the one at the Astrodome, they have good medical care...and they are trying to give children play areas away from the adults...
I even heard that in the Astrodome, they may have schooling there.
In the Dallas area, I am not so sure...because both newspapers are so leftist that I don't read them.
Forgiven. :) I don't know where the folks are being housed, except to say they are everywhere. So many people have stepped forward...Churches, campsites, private homes and hotels. It's heartwarming. Very heartwarming.
But regarding the immunizations, I am sure that I heard all immunization requirements are being waived for at least a month. That just doesn't seem healthy to me, is all. I am all for opening myself to these families, but if the potential is there where my children could become sick, then I have to firmly draw the line.
Just my thoughts. Heck...I told my husband who left today to head back into New Orleans to get onto the NAS that if he has to be or chooses to be exposed to anything, just stay there until he's cleared by a physician.
