Well, thank you both so much for trying to make sure that the accurate news gets out. I've never seen the media as bad as they are right now. Ever.
I actually saw Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC on Friday say the president did nothing to prepare for the hurricane.
#1. He declared LA a state of emergency.
#2. That permitted FEMA to pre-position assets as close to the predicted affected area which was still probably pretty far away given the storm's depth.
#3. He called the mayor and Governor and pressed them to order a mandatory evacuation of NO.
#4. He ordered the military to turn assets around and head toward the Gulf.
I'm sure freepers can add to the list. But that doesn't sound like "nothing" to me. I hate the media. Every last one of them.

Peach, what we can do is gather the facts like you just did and e-mail them to the reporter who lies on the air. We have to shove their lies back down their throats to let them know that we are onto them. So, send A. Mitchell what you just wrote on that post.
