Rita Cosby was forced by the "fair and balanced" doctrine to curb her deeply held liberal beliefs. The facade broke down the night that the Supreme Court decided for Bush in 2000.

She and Paula Zahn were too stupid to understand how to read a Supreme Court decision, so they went to the back and read the dissent (which supported Gore). So, they thought that Gore had won, and were positively giggling about it.

Fortunately, Brit Hume sent Steve Centani out to explain the decision correctly. I am sure this little episode contributed 20 points to my elevated blood pressure.

Ever since, I have never trusted any of her reporting, because I realized that not only was she incredibly stupid, she was a democrat.

Boy--does your post bring back memories! What a long ordeal that post-election was.

BTW, I do not miss Rita Cosby that much--but sure am glad Bill Hemmer is now with Fox. He's pretty "fair and balanced"--especially for having come from CNN.

May I add in addition to her being incredibly stupid, she is extremely shallow.
