there is no way LA and NO can be allowed to manage any of the federal disaster money. you will see only the superdome, convention center, hotels, and bourbon street restored. and every LA and NO official will get new cars. Blanco and Nagin and Landrieu et al, will build a "monument park" dedicated to themselves.
I could tell horror stories.
Everyone down there will pile on the gravy train. Large sums of money will be spent without any documentation. Leadership jobs will be handed out to family members and friends. People with zero skills will be in charge of major projects and huge sums of money. The waste will be enormous.
Right now, they're poisoning the well to provide themselves cover for all of this. The Louisiana political machine needs to be unseated NOW.
