I wonder if Oprah is grateful for the Texas response. She wasn't too fond of Texas a few years ago.
We started to talk about the flood and I was amazed that not once did she start in about how it was Bush's fault. Pretty much her whole deal was about how dangerous it became so quickly and how fast order broke down. Her husband (a lib by osmosis from my sister) did mention that Bush should have sent troops there faster, but my wife and I countered very quickly that the governor of Louisiania was responsible for sending in Louisiana troops and that she had 30,000 troops at her disposal. We also mentioned that she didn't call for troops from other states until Wednesday. There was no argument.
Anyways I found it very encouraging because despite the MSM's constant drumbeat of "it's Bush's fault" their message isn't taking. People, including many libs, can see right through it.
I did not. I need to read it slowly in the morning when my eyes are rested.
I hope the US Government is prepared to reimburse the Cruise lines for 2 cruise ships...
and they better check the people that they put on them to find out if they get sea sick!! LOL
Not sure about that- earlier I read Harry Reid was saying there will be one.
Did you get a missive from him, too??? I waited to clear my brain and then wrote back.... this time no reply (yet).
We were just watching "History Detectives" on PBS, and you won't believe what we saw. For one of the stories they went to visit a relative of some famous broadway dancer from the 1920s or so. And guess where this relative lived? In Slidell, LA. They showed the history detectives driving down streets in Slidell and talking to this relative in her home. (Obviously this was taped before the hurricane.)
Weird.
Rest In Peace Josh E. Russell. Thank you for your service. May God comfort Josh's family and love ones.
Great article. Most Americans agree with what this article is saying but as I said before they will not express it publicly or to the pollsters so liberals, their defeated media and other political pundits (including some conservatives) are terribly mistaken if they think that majority of people will be blaming President Bush for this even if they create all the biased polls that show that President Bush is to be blamed.
I have been wondering about the school buses...were they flooded to the engines?
I used to work in an automobile claims office at an insurance company, and whenever we had flooding, we had to total out the cars that got flooded..
The claims adjusters told me that once they got wet up into the dashboard area, they just can't be fixed...dunno?
Thanks so much and it makes me feel really good. :)
It's wonderful to just read some sane words. Whew.
Just asking for clarification of the destination....St. Charles or Lake Charles?
Excuse my dead brain, what is the ILNG? I just know how stupid I'll feel when you tell me. :)
Sean Penn is on Gretta NOW
Says he was out on the waters yesterday for 9 hours
It depends on how long the vehicle was in the water and the depth.
