This story is SO important.
I didn't read it that way after I read later in the report that they had no plan to use buses.
They'll be compensated and taken care as needed as well. Don't worry, they aren't forgotton.

A Week After Storm, Levee Break Is Fixed

Bump to hold place
at least they could have told the residents to go steal the school buses, since they planned on letting them all flood anyway.
What did Jindel reply to that question?
Sounds like a plan. Why don't you suggest it to some of our GOP congresspersons.
That work for me. :-)
WWL-TV spewing Police Chief's garbage back as if it were truth.
Well, maybe not, but they're not questioning it hard.
What did you read?
She must be on drugs....
"Under both the statutory and constitutional exceptions that have permitted the use of the military in law enforcement since 1980, the president has ample authority to employ the military in homeland defense against the threat of weapons of mass destruction in terrorist hands.
I don't agree that there is a PR disaster that Bush needs to pull himself out of..
I don't think that most Americans are buying what the dems, hacks and MSM is trying to feed them...

Didn't it look good on the BIG screen!
MSNBC: Water is now being pumped out of New Orleans into Lake Pontchartrain after 17th Street Canal levee is fixed.
I LOVE the look President Bush is giving her!!!!
Friday visit has media contact where Bush gives details about the amount of relief delivered, progress is being made, thanks the locals, massive relief effort, et.c Generally congratulatory in tone. ANybody who saw that, after watching news of looting and rapes in the Dome, sensed a HUGE disconnect from reality there.
Saturday AM - Bush's 10 AM speech to the nation is the first time he says the results are unacceptable, IIRC. Big change of tone. If I were to point at the moment in time that GWB admitted his congratulatory "new tone" approach was going to cost lives, it was that moment.
Now, with the "I want to see results" tone in place, he is going back to fill a power vacuum left by Blanco and Nagin. Somebody has to show face there, and he's "it."
