That pile of crap in the 17th St. Canal breach won't hold baby spit when they start trying to pump NO dry. You heard it here first.
Stay tuned for the second NO flood.
Dear Governor Blanco, Why do you think FEMA gave your state over 30 million dollars, in the first place? What did you do with the money, because you all sure didn't use it for the intended purposes. Don't leave town. Cordially, The Prez
Levin up. Playing Dershowitz's disgraceful comments about Rhenquist a day ago on FOX.
Q. How many people were shooting at you
A. The same small percentage of people in any city.
Q. How many?
A. Can't give you a definitive number, numerous.
Q. How many are still out there
A. We are still out there looking for them.
A. Jackson....some of them are in the rescue centers
Q. How many rapes in the Superdome
A. We heard those claims
Q. How many officers shot
A. One shot in the head, one shot in the leg.
Jackson: People are seeing this through the keyhole of the media...these people are not refugees, they are citizens. Brings up whites-finding foods, blacks-looting...The case here is not looting, the case here is drowning.
You hang tuff...we needya.
< "I know Cuba offered medical aid last week. I wasn't aware we had accepted it. Have we?"
The key line there is: "Most important, perhaps, it has a contingent of 500 uniformed, Texas lawmen who stroll the concourses, ramps and stands in white Stetsons, to make sure people behave."
Should have added "heavily armed" to that description.
"I KNEW I liked Geraldo!"
I wasn't so impressed by him or Shep. This is an email I sent to them after the emotional report about the people stuck on the Interstate without any "directions.
Geraldo & Shep,
I saw your emotional reports about the people suffering their way through Katrina. You guys aren't fools. This isn't your first disaster.
Why didn't you tell the young men who had shoes on their feet to go out and find food and water for the elderly, the women and children? So what if they have to walk 10 or 20 miles to keep the babies and moms fed? Fifty young men could have gone to the food stores and instead of looting for Nikes sneakers, watches or electronics, loot for subsistence materials to keep their own families alive. Carry the materials back to the needy in shopping carts or in back packs, whatever is necessary.
Tell the people that hot water heaters have 30 or 40 gallons of drinkable water in them. Wipe the bathtub with Clorox and fill it with water before a city loses it's water pressure, don't bitch about not having anything to drink if you can't think 12 hours ahead!
I think either of you could have made a serious contribution to the recovery effort if you had used your heads and given these people directions on how to stay alive. I do hope to see a better performance from you both during the next hurricane.
Sincerely,
YOU need to be on Fox giving an alternative viewpoint..
Jackson saying Global Warming will cause Houston and New Orleans will be revisted us.
Levin talking about NO now, he clearly is surfing some FR threads.
I truly detest this man. It always crosses my mind that MLK jr would be ashamed of Jackson.
< But some freepers are dump... >
oh no! Now we have to add "dump" to hugh and series.
"I don't want to be here any more than two, three months."
Wow. I would have set my limit at two or three days.
That was a Guardsman shot in the leg.
One *very* important difference, though.
Most of Houston is NOT below sea level and was built with flooding in mind.
That is way too much thinking for that crowd there...
The only thing I KNOW for sure is until the Army arrived I was about to have a nervous breakdown along with Shep over the plight of the people there, particulary the babies.
There will be plenty of time for finger-pointing after this is over... I have a bad feeling, however, that Jessie and his friends are going to turn this into a 2006 issue and anything that will get them elected makes me shudder.
