Geraldo got a boat to go get her and the dog. A family in Ohio has volunteered to house them.

Ellesu has been maintaining the paper trail by Blanco. She is the best resource to answer your question.

What happened to her and old Dusty?

Last I saw, Dusty was being dragged on his back. I think his 15 yo legs gave out. They were being escorted to a helicopter and bound for Ohio.

I count 22 states...and I have to deduct Miss. and Alabama...my gosh they need help themselves..

So 20 out of 50 states helping...pitiful.

BUT, hizzoner Jesse Jackson wants them all brought back to Louisiana and put them in tent cities...he says that not only should families stay together (which IS right)...but NEIGHBORHOODS should stay together...

Now, I love my house, but if a hurricane came....it wouldn't bother me a bit if I didn't live around my neighbors again...get a grip, Jesse.

I have heard quite a few, here in Texas, say the don't want to go back "to that hellhole"...their words, not mine.

Here's a link to an excellent pictorial timeline of Katrina's path.

http://www.bradenton.com/mld/bradenton/

Scroll to the middle of the page and click on the "Trail of a Killer" link

Once you get the page displayed, you can click on the red circle for each day. This will bring up a daily timeline of the day's events including Bush taking action and Blanco and the Mayor not taking action

Sean Penn must be a racist.

He did not wear body armour in Iraq or Iran but wears it in New Orleans?

What he so afraid of in America?

Sean Penn's Boat Sinks In Failed Katrina Rescue Attempt

September 4, 2005 7:58 p.m. EST

Douglas Maher - All Headline News Staff Reporter

New Orleans, Louisiana (AHN) - Political Activist and Actor Sean Penn made his way down to the city of New Orleans with a personal photographer and an entourage in an attempt to help victims stranded by floods caused by Hurricane Katrina.

Penn had planned to rescue children and adults in the flood waters, but apparently forgot to plug a hole in the bottom of the vessel, which began taking water within seconds of its launch.

Penn who is known for his political activism, was seen wearing what appeared to be a white flak jacket and frantically bailing water out of the sinking vessel with a red plastic cup that eventually was not enough for the Academy Award winner.

When asked what he had hoped to achieve in the waterlogged city, the actor tells the Herald Sun: "Whatever I can do to help."

The paper reports that one bystander taunted the actor saying, "How are you going to get any people in that thing?"

Ha ha ha ha ha.

I was disappointed in one of my local radio hosts last week...Greg Knapp on KLIF was pretty much beating up on President Bush for his "lack of getting it done"...

After listening to Honore today...and others..I am convinced that there was no way of doing much more before Wed and Thursday...and wasn't Bush still trying to wrest control of the situation from the Gov. and Mayor at that time?
