I am slow to respond to this but I had cancer surgery on friday morning. It was supposed to be a small 30 mi operation but lasted 21/2 hrs. They have my left eye sewn shut and had to take one of the grafts from my right eye. Just a minor glitch and I will recover. The building where Condi was in Bayou La Batre is where we had our 40th highschool reunion in 2001. That is where I was born and raised. I built a new house last year and am going to try and take in a goodd size family from there or Miss or La. As soon as I am able to drive.LOL Pardon the mistakes but I am typing with one finger and a partial right eye.

I'm afraid Katrina has spawned a multitude of tropical storm alarmists. Good heavens, there was a thread posted today for a low pressure system. Those of us who follow the storms because our lives and property depend upon it are still watching the weather as always. If a system develops, it will not be overlooked. However, there is no need to be alarmed for every tropical wave that forms out there.
Oh thank you. She is on my mind a lot. The last storm she was so depressed, and trying to help her husband too. I hope that both are getting better.

BTW, just as a purely trivial aside (thereby confirming men's opinion of us...), I received a catalog this weekend from Talbot's that had a model on the front who was the spittin image of Condi, wearing an incredibly sharp looking "power outfit" ala Condi. Remember the white coat and the stiletto heel boots she wore in Europe? I think Condi's going to be the new model for us all...

Haley Barbour has defended the President. he has even defended FEMA. Yeah, the D.C. elites are gutless, we knew that. But the Governors in MISS, Alabama, Taxes and so on have been solid. So the Prez has a few stand up people in the Party. Would be nice if they were the Majority, I agree.
