Los Angeles County is refusing to take evacuees.
No. and I just saw the FIRST interview of anyone about it...and it was some Deputy with the NO police..
he kinda low-keyed it...and said that 5 were shot, 2 killed, 3 injured and then later a 6th arrested..
quite a different story than has been reported...and no video AT ALL. Very curious considering how much media is roaming around...and he said this happened this morning.
Something is fishy IMHO...
"Did the race baiter's happen to say what skin color those 6 or 8 dead gunmen might be."
When the movie is made, they will be white supremacists from South Africa. I still don't understand why fools want to hamper relief efforts by sniping at the people doing them.
nice skirt, molly henneberg.
Another reason that Joe needs to shut up
Off topic answer - I think there have been some bombings, there was that mass casualy (500+) incident wehre a mob went over a bridge on belief of a terror attack. But otherwise, I think the Iraq activity is about the same as the past year - daily incidents, some with death of armed service.
I am happy to see that Sheehan witch and Aruba off the air - but would suffer through Cindy witch and Aruba a thousand times over if it would mean Katrina didn't swamp the Gulf Coast as she did.
Oh yes, John Travolta is coming tomorrow to inspect the refugees.
John Travolta lives in Ocala , Florida in the private aviation community of Jumbolair.
Most homes have private airstrips, like the rest of us have driveways.
Travolta literally has his 707 parked in front of his house.
How many people did Travolta evac ?
How much relief did he drop in ?
Just curious.
Well, they ARE using the right word "refugee". "Evacuee" is also good. I have no idea why "refugee" is considered inappropriate.
Mayor Villaracista won't be taking any non-Latino evacuees I take it.
Great info - thanks.

Chuckling out loud.

From WWL yesterday:
8:00 A.M. - Landrieu [Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu]: - We need to stop calling them refugees, they are American citizens. I've made that mistake myself.

Wow.
Landreau's comment may not have been as off the wall as it seems. Look here--

This is a huge article about the now dead New Orleans boss, what really got my attention is the incident where he punches an FBI agent.
ML's comment is so far off the map of rational Senatorial comment, could she have been deliberately referencing this incident? I have seen only one reference on FR and no discussion of the effect of Katrina and the flood on the NO mafia.
??
too much knee?
"The more I see, and the more I read, I am beginning to believe that BLANCO should be held CRIMINALLY responsible."
The evident incompetence of this woman is one reason the Democrats are loudly blaming Bush.
If so, I imagine that they figure that they have enough of their own home grown problematics.
Can you fix me up with Linda Vester?
