The Dimocrats would rather have the political issue than save their own people. I hae to be that cynical, but I have come to believe it.

Blanco did not authorize Federal help because of the political situation, Period. She did not want to lose control or give Bush the good publicity of doing a good job.

I see two "agendas" being pushed by the libs:

1. Control the dialogue with their typically absurd bs.

2. Lay the foundation for a 9-11 type payment to the relatives of those who died in the storm and the aftermath.
