You are making a point I always bring up regarding Louisiana politics, as well as Democracy.
The people of New Orleans overwhelmingly voted for this guy. The People of Louisiana voted for Gov. Blanco. The people of Louisiana voted 4 times for a Governor and common criminal (Edwin Edwards) who is now serving time in a Fort Worth Fed pen. Louisiana is a one party state, and we all know which party.
Katrina is ultimately to blame, but the people of New Orleans and the people of Louisiana have gotten what they deserve, in regards to poor and non-existing leadership.
