Will give you contact info if anyone wants to join me in thanks the various Govts. for their aid. And just for information sake. Quit a lot of aid is being sent. Here is just a short list of aid from Europe. This only covers some of the gas and oil

Portugal is sending 2% of their Stategic Oil Reserve to the US Canada: Prime Minister Paul Martin has announced the release of 30,000 barrels of gasoline and oil for U.S. use. (Go Canada!) France said it had agreed to contribute the equivalent of 92,000 barrels of oil per day in refined products – mainly petrol (Bravo Paris!) Spain said it will release 70,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.(Way to go Spain!) The German Economy Ministry said the country would contribute about 6% of the total. That would be about 120,000 barrels a day. (The right stuff Berlin!) Switzerland intended to provide the 360,000 barrels of petrol from its emergency reserves. (A huge thank you to the Swiss people.) In the 60 years since the obligatory Swiss reserves were created they have never once been touched. Britain said it plans to release 73,000 barrels of oil a day for the next 30 days. (Cheers to our loyal British allies)Britain to release 2.2m barrels of oil to avert fuel crisis (Japan) to release 60M barrels of oil, gas The governments of 26 countries have agreed to release the equivalent of two million barrels of oil per day from strategic reserves to cope with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the International Energy Agency said. The International Energy Agency will provide up to 60 million barrels of crude oil and gasoline from its emergency stockpiles. The combined 60 million barrels will translate into an added 2 million barrels of petroleum products entering the market each day, according to the Energy Department. In U.S. measure, a barrel equals 42 gallons. Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan are expected to send the bulk of these supplies, mostly in the form of refined products.
