I was struck by the clause "Sen. Edward Kennedy (news, bio, voting record), a Massachusetts Democrat..."

Usually it isn't written out like that..."a Massachusettes Democrat." Technically correct, but the sentence construction is almost like a major revelation..."a Massachusettes Democrat."

"Well, do tell..." (heh, heh, heh)
