Just shows PETA's true colors. They do NOT care about animals they just use the issue for politics. This is sad because if they were not out there we would have a real and legit organisation who would really be on the side of animals when the animals really are in need of help.

That's right. Shouldn't PETA be all over this? Shouldn't they be the ones setting up shelters and going door to door looking for abandoned "animal companions?" They are just one of many, many examples of leftist organizations that are so blinded by their ideology they no longer see the people or creatures they supposedly care about.
Actually, there is a section under FEMA specifically for the rescuing of pets during emergencies.
