Dear God, what is wrong with that woman? If I hadn't been here witnessing it, I'd never believe it. While some incompetence or even bad decisions can be made in any disaster, this has passed that to the willful.

It is looking like she's making every bad decision on purpose, knowing the results they would make. It's hard to imagine mere incompetence being the problem. Others would realize that they are overwhelmed and either do what's right or remove themselves from the role of responsibility.

What do you think this means?

Blanco made two moves Saturday that protected her independence from the federal government: She created a philanthropic fund for the state's victims and hired James Lee Witt, Federal Emergency Management Agency director in the Clinton administration, to advise her on the relief effort.

That protected her independence from the federal government?

She wants this all on herself? (Fine by me.)

The dems are so determined to damage Bush that they'll throw Iraq over to Bin Laden. They know full well what the results of their actions will be.

Why would destroying N.O. bother them, if it can help get rid of Bush?
