No, don't know that book. Live right here in Kechi, about 5 miles north of Wichita. Kechi is an Indian word, too, just like Wichita, and Kechi means for "turtle in wet sand". Don't ask me how they got all that in that little word.....:)

That book is about Chase county (Emporia, Cottonwood Falls, etc.) It is a documentary history that is really about all of Kansas and it's VERY good. You might want to check it out at your local library or on Amazon.com

The author is named William Least-Heat Moon. Yes, that's weird, but that's really his name.
