Too bad conservatives have been insisting that Roberts is a conservative because now the left will be insisting on a Rehnquist replacement who is "moderate", which will mean even more liberal than Roberts.
President Bush MUST NOT name Rehnquist's replacement nominee until after Robert's is confirmed. The Dems will press hard for this but the President cannot cave.
