This is the best quote on Drudge's site:
Louisiana disaster plan, pg 13, para 5 , dated 01/00
'The primary means of hurricane evacuation will be personal vehicles. School and municipal buses, government-owned vehicles and vehicles provided by volunteer agencies may be used to provide transportation for individuals who lack transportation and require assistance in evacuating'...

Any intrepid reporter would use this quote to confront any LA politician blaming Washington/Bush. Most MSM reporters are too lazy, incompetent, PC, or ideologically biased toward 'blame Bush' to do so.

few days from now or maybe even hours, Matt Drudge will be accused of racism as people like Sharpton and Jackson say he is bigoted against Nagin and liberals in general, by pointing out he wanted them to be put into the back of buses. I am not even joking.

You make a good pont - however it wouldn't wash because of ONE single word in that cited section MAY. A case could be made if that word were to have been SHALL.

don't mean to seem nit-picky,but the choice of those 2 words can make all the difference i the world regarding how something is carried out.
