You're right! I guess Al is pointing to the injury caused by President Bush and the Republican party. That's why all these conservatives are volunteering at the Dome. It's penitence time.
He's pointing to the bandaid on the child's leg and looks annoyed that it's not the "right" color. Ms. Lee looks like she's saying, "See. Look at my hand ... THIS is the color of bandaid that should be on this child."
