We can only hope that New Orleans will never be the same.

I thought that I was the only person on the planet who didn't like New Orleans. It was dirty, stinky, full of freaks and depressing, IMO.

Most amazing of all is that I was there for Hurricane Camille and really, it wasn't that bad.

This gave the people a false sense that this storm, which was only a Cat 1 when it hit Florida, wasn't going to be that bad either.

In fact, the hurricane wasn't the most dangerous part. It was the breeched levee and the failure of the brand new canal.

The mother nature part combined with the utter incompetence of the Mayor and Governor left the city vulnerable.

The city of NO has historic value. Preservation Hall, the fact that all the coffee was shipped into that port. The history is important to preserve.

The citizenry........UGH.
