people had been held for 6 days, 6 days at the convention center, which is a physical impossibility since the flooding did not start until late Monday.

They were there a day or two before the flooding to ride out the storm.

Not at the Convention Center. The Superdome was the refuge of last resort and it was not put into action until Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening. People were still going into the Superdome late Sunday night.

The convention center didn't become a gathering place until late Tuesday/early Wednesday as those who had been flooded headed toward higher ground.
