It could be that FEMA was reluctant to send the NG
FEMA does not send the NG anywhere, the Governor of the State does at the request of Local authorities. OK? I am really getting frustrated with the level of ignorance being displayed by the "News Media" on this one. IF I can find this all out in about 15 mins on my computer, why can't professional journalists?

Of course the NG is directed by state, but don't you think that maybe FEMA was "advising" the authorities at state and local what to do? The Gov and the Mayor are the primary culprits here, their incompetentence knows no bounds. Given the situation, not sure sending the NG in by anyone on Tuesday or Wednesday was the best idea. Until they knew if the river levees were breached and the lake levees were "stabilized", sending more folks into the situation to be rescued would have been foolhardy.
