I've been up for awhile and watching our state news channel. There was an interview with 2 police offices that said something like conditions were so bad that they left for their own safety. Very matter of fact and blamed it on no support. I don't understand this. It's kind of like nurses and doctors abandoning their patients IMO. The reporter was very easy on them. I would have been asking harder questions. I know you do what you do to survive but when you take a job to protect others.... One of them even said he plans to go back into law enforcement elsewhere.

There was an interview with 2 police offices that said something like conditions were so bad that they left for their own safety. Contrast this to the wonderful police and fire departments of NY when 9/11 struck there. Instead of running away, they ran into danger because they had leadership at the top - Rudi! This is why, especially in times of tragedy, I'll NEVER give up my guns and surrender my right to self defense.
