I really do not know what they are going to do with all the bodies, Northern Alliance, because there are tens of thousands of them. It was reported on Fox that they were keeping them in refrigerated trucks for later identification. The coroners and authorities are completely overwhelmed by what faces them.
As much as you and I want those children's murderers brought to justice, I fear that the horrifying reality is that it probably will not happen. I wish it weren't that way. And I wholeheartedly hope you are right that those animals are prosecuted and brought to justice for their horrendous crimes. But as badly as they are handling everything else, I doubt the authorities are competent enough to do what is necessary.
Perhaps my cynicism is taking over at this point because of the overwhelming nature of this tragedy and my disgust over how local officials have thrown their own people under the bus. Please forgive me for having a bad attitude. I really do hope with all my heart that my cynicism is proved wrong.
Please forgive me for having a bad attitude. I really do hope with all my heart that my cynicism is proved wrong. It is perfectly understandable, and perhaps (as usual) I am being naive, but given that these two bodies (boy and girl) are where they are and what is known about them, and given that DNA can, I believe, survive very poor conditions for a very long time, I think there is an excellent chance that this evidence will be recovered. I would be even more optimistic about that though, if this was someplace other than NO
BTW, where does the figure of tens of thousands come from? I don't think there are any reliable estimates of deaths yet.
