He insists, “the mere contact with whites invariably…has produced for us all [black people] one plague or another: slavery, colonialism, plunder, conquest, massacre, economic globalization, culture transplantation.” White people, wherever they are, pose a mortal threat to civilized and humane values. “Western whites,” fumes Robinson, “once well inside the place of another’s different, less pugnacious, more welcoming culture, destroy it, root and branch. For inexplicable reasons, they are seemingly constrained by some aberrant force of nature to disparage all culture, all history, all religion, all memory, all faces, all life not theirs.” Nonetheless, he asserts it is the whites who are racist, not him. “Whites don’t give a sh-t what we think,” he proclaims. “Never did. Never will.” Whites are, in sum, “little more than upper primates,” exactly the kind of gutter language the Ku Klux Klan uses in regard to blacks. Unlike the Klan, Robinson gets rave reviews in the New York Times.

Major B.S. alert. No one is going to die of starvation from lack of food for three or four days. When I was younger I went without food for 12 days just to see if I could do it. I was pretty hungry throughout the entire period but other than that there were no ill effects. I'd imagine most people could go at least 30-40 days if they had to. Nobody, except perhaps psychopaths and voodoo witchdoctors, is eating corpses in New Orleans.

DO they really intend to say that given four days without food they will eat their dead, so it is the white people's fault for not getting the food there? (Mr. Whiteman, paging Richard Whiteman....you have a call on blame line 3)
I guess they can blame whomever they want to, but it is the actions of the people there which speaks loudest to their behaviour in this tragedy, and the ultimate choice of what to do resides with them.
Hell, I have gone a week without food, and I was not even eyeing roadkill or the neighbors pet....yet.
But, even deeper, I am really getting sick of this being made into a racial issue. Therein lies the greatest tragedy of all. As if no one BUT blacks have suffered, anywhere, from this storm.
Does anyone remember 1968? Are these folks bent on fomenting another series of riots like Cambridge, Detroit, Watts, etc.?
Does this fit in with the Marxist/Leftist antiwar redux package?
Are they trying to re-create the Nixon era and just siezeing on this event to touch off another phase?
