the way i see it, is the libs have no option but to present a negative picture. watching FOX and then turning randomly to CNN and MSNBC and both have "Bush's Failure" as top news. FOX on the other hand, is blaring how great the military are, how effient they worked, how they are proud and heartwarming positive stories. Doom and gloom on the left. They can't praise the military because Bush has stretched us so thin and if they did a good job, then we had enough soldiers ot handle it. If they blame the state government, that won't be acceptable because the whole world will know how totally inept the dems are in a time of crisis - who would you feel safe running the country - 2006 elections are right around the corner. They look like fools and their credibility is nonexistent! The only thing I don't get is how fast they get their talking points across the MSM and all other lefties. Could be another hand at work here? But they are going to look so stupid because the fact that the only way to prevent the suffering would have been to get them out before storm. Bush had no auth to do that.

I don't think you know anything about what I'm advocating.

All I'm saying is that if the tourists had shelter and access to food and water, their evacuation did not deserve to be given priority over people who did not have any of that.

You are telling me that these tourists probably were suffering, yet you ignore they were evacuated out ahead of people who definitely were suffering, and in the absence of a need for the rooms occupied by these tourists, there was no need for them to be moved so soon. Nobody is advocating leaving the tourists there for week after week, but only that their priority is lower than those in dire need. And that a wait of a couple more days wouldn't have been uncharitable or unreasonable.

No, I am telling you that foreigners ALWAYS suffer more than the locals, SHOULD be taken care of first, and that this is one of basic beliefs in Judeo-Christian morality. It is sad to see that you are not only unaware of the latter, but that it also does not bother you.

I've said all there was to say. You've got some serious thinking to do, and whether to do that is up to you.

I disagree with you that there is any equivalent between the suffering of a foreigner with shelter and access to food and water, and the suffering of a local bereft of food, water and shelter.

That you can't see this means that you have more thinking to do about this.
