I would have been in awe of the history of it. How many people get such a chance! How wonderful for you!

People were coming to the airport just because they had heard it was there. Everyone was entranced by the look of it, its history and romance.

I'm looking for more history now, and have found out that not only MacArthur flew it, so did Eisenhower, and it appear in several movies, including Tora! Tora! Tora!. WOW!
