"Coyote" Chuck Larson comes from Oklahoma, but started his music career in Pungo, Virginia in the 1960's with a rock band known as Bullfrog II. By the 1970's he was the lead singer with the band Snuff, Virginia's premier Country/Rock act that recorded three albums for Electra/Asylum and supported an Eagles tour on the strength of their national Top 40 hit "Happy Hour". On the verge of stardom the band broke up and Chuck went back to his solo career in Virginia. He won first prize in a Library of Congress National Songwriter's competition for his song, "Everybody Want's To Go To Heaven (But Nobody Want's To Die)".

In 1988, Chuck teamed with my band, which at the time was working at the Virginia Beach oceanfront as "Susie & The Naturals", but when Susie and her keyboardist Bobby Webber left the band in mid-summer, we called in "Coyote" to front the group and finish our seasonal engagement at the Virginia Beach Hilton as "The Unnaturals". The house band at the Hilton was so successful and resulted in so much new original material that we changed our name to The BoatRockers and worked out two years of bookings with Chuck Larson whenever he was available. Whenever "Coyote" had alternate engagements (including his career in the Merchant Marine), we put on our Blues hats and worked with Richmond native Leo LaDell from Nobody's Business.

Chuck Larson currently lives in Nag's Head, North Carolina where he writes and records radio jingles for his production company and tours the East Coast with the reunited Snuff.
