Another question is why did so many whites (over 135,000) evacuate and so many blacks did not evacuate.
This is the question that will be asked over and over again in the coming months.
I bet Congress will subpoena TV and radio broadcasts, warnings, etc. We will see finger pointing on a scale never seen before.
As for me, I want to gather more facts beofre commenting on that, but other threads have discussed this.
For those too timid to speak the answer I'll tell you.
Because the vast majority of those who didn't evacuate have lived their entire lives on government hand outs and "help me ups". If someone else didn't provide it, then they didn't have it.
The real question IMO is WHOSE fault is that?
