I will listen to you! I'll take your emails (although I am not one of the liberals you are attempting to email)
Insofar as I know, The President called to order the evacuation on Friday or early Saturday when he saw what was bearing down on the coast.
I do remember then the mayor saying he would make his decision after getting 'advice'. As I recall, his advice didn't come for 18 additional hours or so.
As I recall also, the National Weather Service called the mayor's home to warn him. Afterwards his voice was in full panic as he called for evacuation. Now he criticizes the lack of a Federal response.
What is the city responsibility for having a PLAN in place? Or one by the Governor?
Last I saw, hundreds of buses sat flooded in lots instead of (by estimates) having an ability to move 10,000 to 15,000 people out of the city had there been unconditional and mandatory evacuations. And with return trips, the same numbers again before all roads would close.
Nothing Nagin, Blanco or Landrieu, much less Jackson, Sharpton or Lee is saying would hold water if they didn't have the MSM to carry the bucket of cra%ola they are trying to throw on the President.
