You are being honest. This is a scary time for everyone, but none more so than those who have lost their livelihoods. I am hoping we get some good, able bodied people around here. Have tons of work needed on the house, and can't find anyone to do it.

I can't believe that they don't have some plan in place to help the elderly and the stranded tourists get out of town on busses or trains or something! What will happen to those people?

No doubt about that. My cousin was telling me about helping a family while at the Red Cross. She had neglected to give them directions to the Human Resources office, where they could receive emergency food stamps. She said the father looked at her and told her he "couldn't do it." She had to give directions to the mom. She said it was clear he had never needed help from anyone before, at least not like that. Heartbreaking. :(
