To be charitable, perhaps he is just not up-to-date with the correct info (lack of communication abounds!!), but it was splashed in the CNN lead article today:
"NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (CNN) -- Four days after Hurricane Katrina devastated much of the northern Gulf Coast, tired and angry people stranded at the convention center in New Orleans welcomed a supply convoy carrying food, water and medicine with cheers and tears of joy. It was perhaps the biggest breakthrough in a day of progress in the ravaged city."
The pictures of food and water at the convention center has a time stamp of 11 something this morning? The ladies Geraldo interviewed had some of what looked like the water they were handing out.
